About me
From Busia County to the command line.
I grew up in Busia County and found my way into engineering through curiosity about how signals, networks, and software actually work — then started building instead of just wondering.
Who I am
My name is Eliya Sande. I'm currently studying Telecommunication and Information Engineering at JKUAT (Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology). Alongside my formal studies, I'm a self-driven software developer — I taught myself to code out of a genuine passion for building things people can actually use, from community platforms to AI-assisted developer tools.
I care about products that work reliably for the people they're built for, whether that's a connection platform for a local community or a code editor that makes other developers faster. I'm always looking for the next thing to build or learn.

What drives me
principlesBuild in public
I'd rather ship something real and imperfect than plan something perfect and unshipped.
Signal over noise
A background in telecom taught me to strip things down to what actually carries value.
Useful over impressive
The best code is the code someone else actually relies on.
